The city has unveiled a new traffic regime postponing nighttime traffic restrictions in the historic centre known as the ZTL (zona di traffico limitato). At present, the nighttime ZTL lasts between 21.00 and 03.00 on Friday and Saturday nights. The new plan, which comes into force 18 July, will push it back by two hours to start at 23.00 and end at 03.00. Modifications to the ZTL will not, however, affect the ZTL at S. Lorenzo, which will continue to start at 21.00.
