Rome public transport company ATAC has inaugurated a new terminus at Termini station for the 5 and 14 tram lines, which connect the southeastern suburbs along the Via Prenestina to the main train station.

The new terminus is on the corner of Via Cavour and Via Giolitti across the street from the train station and beside the entrance to the metro station for lines A and B.

It replaces the former terminus on Via Giovanni Amendola, a narrow side street around the corner from the new terminus, which led to traffic congestion in the area.
