Northern Lights live-streamed in Rome

Aurora Borealis screened live at Rome's Auditorium Parco della Musica.

The Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis, will be streamed live at Rome's Auditorium Parco della Musica each evening from 10-26 February.

The initiative, part of the 2019 Equilibrio contemporary dance festival, will see the Northern Lights beamed live from Lapland onto the exterior dome of the Sala Sinopoli.

The spectacular natural light display can be viewed, for free, each evening as soon as the sun goes down.

The title of this year's Equilibrio festival is Aurora Boreale a Roma and is dedicated to works and dancers from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.

The streaming is made possible thanks to the geophysics observatory at the University of Oulu and is produced by Pukki Visuals, a Finnish company specialising in streaming the lives of endangered species.

For details see Auditorium Parco della Musica website.
