Palazzo delle Esposizioni.
The mayor of Rome, Walter Veltroni, has confirmed that the Palazzo delle Esposizioni on Via Nazionale will re-open to the public by the end of the year. The Campidoglio has tied up 19 million in the restoration campaign to re-design the interior spaces and equip the building with the latest technology. The intention is for the building to become a multi-purpose cultural centre among the most important In Europe. The 4,500 sqm of space will be divided into 18 rooms and there will be a large veranda and roof garden constructed from slabs of crystal. The renovate Palazzo delle Esposizioni will be inaugurated with an exhibition on the 50 years of rock music and a monographic show dedicated to the late Henri Cartier-Bresson on 21 December.
