Peonies for FAI.
The Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna (GNAM) this weekend hosts an exhibition of tree peonies. At "Peonies for FAI" there will be more than 50 of these fascinating Chinese flowering shrubs on display. Landscape gardeners, botanists, nursery gardeners, writers and journalists will talk about the discovery and cultivation of peonies. Some species will be on sale to raise funds for FAI (Fondo per l'ambiente italiano), a private organisation that protects Italy's neglected monuments and parks.
