Plans for new English-language cinema in Rome
A voluntary group has been formed to establish an outlet for English-language movies in Rome in the wake of the recent closure of the Metropolitan cinema on Via del Corso. The informal board of artistic directors known as The Silver Screen in Rome approached Armando Leone, the director of the Film Studio in Trastevere, who immediately expressed interest in the idea.
