What are the favourite names in Rome at the moment? The office where parents register the birth of their babies has just released figures that show that the most popular girls name is Giulia, for the fifth successive year, followed by Sofia, Sara, Martina and Chiara (which has dropped from second to fifth place). For boys Matteo and Lorenzo are the two favourites, closely followed by Francesco, Alessandro, and Andrea. Four baby boys born between March and June have been named Karol.
