Public transport strike
A national strike by urban public transport workers has been re-scheduled from 26 to 30 Jan. In Rome the buses, trams and metro will be affected from 08.30-17.00 and from 20.00-24.00, but services are expected to be available during the early morning and early evening rush hours. The industrial action, previously planned for 26 Jan, follows a similar strike on 9 Jan that brought local public transport systems throughout Italy to a standstill for much of the day.
