Public Transport strike in Rome
There is a four-hour public transport strike in Rome on Thursday 1 March from 08.30 to 12.30.
The action will affect the city's main bus operator Atac, Cotral coaches and Roma Tpl suburban routes, as well as trams, metro and light rail links between Rome-Lido, Termini-Giardinetti and Rome Civita-Castellana Viterbo.
Italy's railway company Ferrovie dello Stato has also scheduled a four-hour protest from 14.00 to 18.00, for more information see www.fsnews.it or tel. 800892021.
During the strike, the limited traffic zones (ZTL) in the centre and Trastevere will be disactivated all day.
