Friday's 24-hour strike in Rome involves ATAC and Cotral.
Commuters in Rome face a "venerdì nero" on Friday 12 October as public transport workers engage in a 24-hour strike.
Rome's public transport company ATAC and regional coach service Cotral will be on strike from 08.30 to 17.00 and from 20.00 until end of service.
The strike affects Rome's buses, trams, metro and light rail services Roma-Lido, Termini-Centocelle and Roma-Civitacastellana-Viterbo.
The city's night bus services are also at risk on the night between 11 and 12 October.
The strike coincides with a weather warning issued by the capital.
