A four-hour public transport strike is scheduled in Rome on Friday 20 July, from 08.30-12.30.
The protest involves all of Rome’s public transport services including buses, Cotral coaches, trams, A and B metro lines, and the Rome-Giardinetti and Rome-Civitacastellana-Viterbo light rail link. Although most services will resume shortly after 12.30, the metro may not be back in operation until about 14.00.
Ticket office employees are also at risk of striking during this time while the services of Rome's agency for mobility in Piazzale degli Archivi in EUR are not guaranteed on Friday after 11.30.
The strike was called by various public transport trade unions over proposed changes to contract conditions.
