The Termini-Giardinetti and Rome-Viterbo urban light-rail lines are closed from 08.30 to 12.30 on Friday 14 December.
The strike has been called by public transport trade unions representing employees of Rome's bus company ATAC, which operates the two train lines.
There is a regular service on the Metro A and B lines and the Roma-Lido line, and the strike does not affect the city's trains operated by Trenitalia, such as Fr1, Fr2, Fr3, Fr4, Fr5, Fr6, Fr7 and Fr8.
Also on 14 December, reductions and suspensions of services on the capital's bus and tram network are likely from 08.30 until 17.00, and from 20.00 until end of service. The city's night bus service will not be affected. For updates see the website of Rome's agency for mobility.
