Musicians in Italy are drawing attention to the general strike on 25 November with simultaneous productions of requiem masses in opera houses and theatres all over Italy from Trieste to Cagliari. In Rome the S. Cecilia orchestra and chorus will perform Verdis Requiem Mass in the Sala S. Cecilia at the Auditorium Parco della Musica, Viale P. de Coubertin, tel 068082058 at 20.30. The Teatro dellOpera in Rome will also perform the same work at the same time at the opera house, Teatro Costanzi, Piazza B. Gigli, tel. 0648160255. Admission to these concerts will be free.
