Road works on Via del Tritone.
Works on the road surface of Via del Tritone between Largo Chigi and Largo Tritone, one of the busiest intersection in Romes historic centre, started at the beginning of August. The works, which are due to be completed in November, mean that the stretch from Via del Corso to Largo Tritone, is now all one way. Buses which usually come down from Via del Tritone to Piazza S. Silvestro will now turn left at Largo Tritone and follow a route through the tunnel, turn right into Via Nazionale, Largo Mangianapoli, Via IV Novembre and the rejoin their route in Piazza Venezia. The buses concerned are 52, 53, 61, 62, 63, 71, 80, 95, 175, 492, 630 and night buses 45N and 68N. The deviation will be good news for traffic along the stretch of Via del Corso from Largo Chigi to Piazza Venezia, but bad news for Via Nazionale, where there are already long lines of buses coming down from the area around Stazione Termini.
