Roma-Napoli without fans.
The Rome city prefect, Achille Serra , has ordered that the first important Roma football match of 2006, a return match between Rome and Naples in the Coppa Italia championship to be played at the Stadio Olimpico on 11 January, will be played behind closed doors. The prefect has decided that all the stands must be empty of supporters of either side following violent incidents in the first round when Rome played against Naples in Naples on 8 December. At that match eight policemen where injured and two police vehicles set on fire.
The prefects decision has not gone down well with Roma supporters who think that sport is the looser and the hooligans the victors.
