The eleventh Rome Supercat Show will run in the Nuova Fiera di Roma on 3 and 4 November, following last year’s success with over 30,000 visitors.
The two-day meeting of national and international cat-lovers will be marked by a series of special events in a feline vein: Miao Giochi, where kids will learn how to play with and care for their cat; prize competitions in three categories – Supercat, house cat and black cat; Scatto al gatto photo competition; Qua la zampa for the adoption of strays; Aiuta un a-micio to encourage donations to the catteries operated by volunteers caring for street cats; Il veterinario risponde for advice on all aspects of feline health, and many more.
But the show isn’t exclusively for feline top models: there is also a section for your own modest pet, who will be made more than welcome in the Gatto di Casa category.
On the Supercat website are full details of how to register to take part in any of the events, or merely go and enjoy the show: a photo and video gallery will give you a thorough idea of how the recent editions were organised, and what to expect on the day.
The Fiera di Roma exhibition park is easy to reach both by public transport along the FR1 metro line towards Fiu-micino airport (pardon the pun!) to the Fiera station, or by car along the GRA-Fiumicino motorway to the dedicated Fiera exit, where visitors will find 5,000 parking spaces for a daily charge of €5.
