Romanian culture celebrated in Rome
Rome, in collaboration with Bucharest, is hosting an event in Piazza Campidoglio on 15 June to highlight the cultural contribution of Romania.
Entitled "Romani Rumeni", the initiative is designed to strengthen cultural relations between both capital cities and both countries, and to break down any perceived stereotypes and prejudices.
Presented by Fabrizio Gatta and Ramona Badescu, the evening will comprise concert music from the European Royal Orchestra as well as paintings, sculpture, literature, drama and dance from some of Romania's greatest contemporary artists. Video projections also document Romania's rich cultural past, allowing those living in Rome to experience the country's historic and artistic traditions.
The event begins at 21.30 and is scheduled to finish at 23.00. For more information see www.comune.roma.it.
