Rome city bus knocks down man after altercation with driver.
Rome's public transport company ATAC has suspended the driver responsible for knocking down a pedestrian in the city's Corviale suburb, according to Italian news agency ANSA.
The incident, which came to light after a shock video was posted on the internet, appears to have occurred after the driver refused to allow the man to board the bus with his two un-muzzled dogs.
As the man walks away from the bus, the Number 786, the video shows the vehicle reversing at speed as the pedestrian attempts to protect himself from being run over.
ATAC has condemned the "very serious" incident which it has reported to the "relevant authorities."
