Rome bus driver loaded his scooter on bus after dumping passengers.
A Rome bus driver reportedly told passengers to get off the bus before loading his scooter aboard and driving away, according to Italian daily newspaper La Repubblica.
The incident occurred on the evening of 18 October at the Quattro Venti terminus, in Rome's Monteverde area, on the 982 route operated by Roma TPL, the capital's suburban bus company.
Passengers told La Repubblica that they were sitting on board the bus waiting for it to leave when the driver announced, without any explanation: "The bus won't start. Everyone off."
One of the passengers, identified as Amy G., said that the driver then went to collect his maxi-scooter, a Honda Silver Wing 400, which was parked nearby.
The driver was not wearing a uniform and was described as "agitated and nervous" as he attempted to load his scooter on the bus in front of dumbfounded passengers.
He eventually completed his difficult task, with much swearing, before closing the doors of the bus and driving off into the sunset.
