ATAC employee drove Rome city bus home instead of returning it to depot.
Rome mayor Virginia Raggi has described as "unacceptable" the behaviour of a bus driver who parked an ATAC city bus outside his house after he finished work for the day.
The driver, who parked the bus on his own street instead of returning it to the depot, has been suspended and could face disciplinary action.
Raggi said that ATAC intervened after the bus's GPS tracking system alerted the company to the vehicle's unauthorised location.
The mayor said the driver's behaviour was "an affront to Rome citizens and to his many colleagues who conduct their work correctly."
