No injuries in Rome's latest bus fire.
A city bus operated by Rome's public transport company ATAC burst into flames while in service at 20.30 on the evening of 2 July.
The incident took place on the number 058 bus on Viale Palmiro Togliati in the city's eastern Colli Aniene suburbs.
The driver evacuated the passengers before the bus was engulfed in flames, and nobody was injured. The adjacent bus stop was also damaged in the blaze.
This is the 14th case of an ATAC bus catching fire in Rome so far this year: an average of two buses a month.
In a statement, ATAC said it was not yet clear why the latest bus had caught fire but noted that the vehicle had been in service since 2005.
