Rome Film Fest honours Martin Scorsese
American director to receive Lifetime Achievement Award in Rome.
The 13th Rome Film Fest pays homage to veteran movie director Martin Scorsese who will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at 19.00 on Monday 22 October at the Auditorium Parco della Musica.
Scorsese will engage with the public via a Close Encounter talk during which he will look back over his career and his cinematic masterpieces such as Mean Streets, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas, Casino, Gangs of New York, The Departed, The Wolf of Wall Street and Silence.
The Close Encounter event will see Scorsese speak about a series of film sequences selected from the Italian movies that have had the greatest influence on his life and work.
In light of the extraordinary demand, the Rome Film Fest has arranged a second public event with Martin Scorsese, who will introduce the screening of San Michele aveva un gallo at 16.00 on Wednesday 24 October 24 at the Auditorium Parco della Musica.
