A nationwide 24-hour strike by local public transport providers has been scheduled for Monday 3 June.
The action involves the capital's bus, metro, trams and light-rail service Roma-Lido, Termini-Giardinetti and Roma-Viterbo.
The strike follows the usual timetable, known all too well by Rome's commuters, from 08.30-17.00 and from 20.00 until midnight. Rome's night bus service is also at risk on the night between Sunday 2 May and the following morning.
The strike action has been called by Fast Confsal on behalf of employees of Rome bus company ATAC and suburban bus company Roma Tpl.
