Travel guide lists Rome in its top cities for 2016.
Rome has been included in the top ten cities to visit in 2016 by the guide book publisher Lonely Planet, according to its criteria which includes “topicality, excitement and wow-factor.”
The Italian capital comes tenth on the list which is headed by the coastal city of Kotor in Montenegro. Quito (Ecuador) is second on the list, followed by Dublin (Ireland), George Town (Malaysia), Rotterdam (Netherlands), Mumbai (India), Fremantle (Australia), Manchester (UK), Nashville (Tennessee).
Rome failed to make the guide's 2015 top ten city list, although Milan came in third place.
