Public transport at risk in Rome on Monday 9 December.
Rome's metro, tram and bus network will be at risk on Monday 9 December due to a strike called by various trade unions representing the city's public transport company ATAC.
The strike is scheduled between 10.00 and 14.00 during which time-frame "no departure should be made from the terminus or stations", according to the union SLM - Fast Confsal Lazio, who outlined the reasons for their industrial action.
"Atac lives two separate realities. The one told by the company that talks about positive balance sheets, new buses and increased revenues. And the one experienced by the employees" whose problems include workload increases, holiday denial, lack of buses, poor maintenance and safety problems.
