Public can visit Roman Forum area by day after 20-year closure.
The archaeological area between the Forum of Trajan and that of Caesar will be open to visitors, including wheelchair users, during day time from Friday 25 November.
The area, which is normally only open in the evenings as part of cultural events, reopens to the public by day after a 20-year closure.
Rome mayor Virginia Raggi described it as "another important piece of Rome's historical and archaeological heritage that is given back to the city and to the world", following the recent reopening of the Circus Maximus archaeological area.
