Heavy rain led to flooding on streets across Rome.
Repubblica station on Rome's Metro A line remains closed on 3 December after being flooded during a violent rainstorm the evening before.
Trains are currently running through the station without stopping and Rome's public transport authority ATAC is advising commuters to use the neighbouring stations of Termini or Spagna instead.
The heavy rainfall on the evening of 2 December led to widespread flooding around the city and resulted in the Manzoni metro station closing for several hours.
The areas most affected by the flooding include the historic centre, from Piazzale Flaminio to Terme di Caracalla, as well as Tiburtina, Portuense and Magliana.
