Rome schools to close on Tuesday 30 October.
Rome's mayor Virginia Raggi has ordered the closure of all public schools in Rome on Tuesday 30 October - for the second day in a row - due to the dangerous weather conditions currently affecting the capital.
Raggi's announcement comes as trees and branches continue to fall across Rome, causing widespread damage, street closures and traffic problems.
Falling trees resulted in the deaths of three people in the Lazio region south of Rome on 29 October - two in the Frosinone area and one in Terracina.
The city's civil protection authority has warned the public to only travel if absolutely necessary.
