Major water leak caused section of Rome street to collapse.
A parked car ended up in a chasm that opened up on a Rome street following a major flood during the early hours of 19 October.
The incident, which took place on Via di Monteverde, was caused by a burst water pipe, leading to the closure of the area between Largo De Paoli and Piazzale Dunant in the Monteverde district.
The car was removed by the fire brigade while technicians from Rome's multi-utility ACEA fixed the leak and restored water to local residents by the afternoon.
