ATAC employees stage 24-hour public transport strike in Rome.
Rome's ATAC public transport workers represented by the UGL trade union are holding a 24-hour strike on Tuesday 26 July, despite the company's other transport unions deferring the action.
The 24-hour strike, scheduled from 08.30-17.00 and from 20.00 until end of service, has resulted in the closure of Metro A and the possible reduction of the city's buses, trams, metro and light rail services Roma-Lido, Roma-Nord and Termini-Centocelle operated by ATAC.
Services provided by Cotral regional coaches, Roma TPL suburban buses, and the state railway are running as normal.
