Rome's metro, trams and buses will run as normal however.
A strike affecting various public and private sectors in Rome is scheduled on Friday 29 November.
The strike, involving members of the USB trade union, will affect trains, kindergartens, schools, universities and public offices.
A nationwide train strike will also mean that many services are at risk from midnight on 28 November until 21.00 the next day, however Rome's airport shuttle Leonardo Express is guaranteed.
Friday's strike is expected to lead to the closure of many playschools and schools in the capital, with universities also affected.
On the bright side, Rome's public transport company ATAC is not getting involved on this occasion, meaning that buses, metro and trams will run as normal.
