Rome university cuts out plastic water bottles
Roma Tre encourages students not to use disposable plastic water bottles.
Rome's Università degli Studi Roma Tre is distributing up to 30,000 stainless steel bottles to its students in a bid to stop plastic waste.
The move is part of the university's "Message is the Bottle" campaign which aims to save around 10,000 plastic water bottles used each day on campus.
Roma Tre rector Luca Pietromarchi says that the university has a duty to play its part in environmental sustainability and to "think about the future of its students."
