Rome’s Irish film festival
While much of the entertainment media in the Italian capital has focused on the recent Rome International Film Festival, another much smaller cinematic event celebrates its fifth anniversary this year. The annual IrishFilmFesta, which runs from 1-5 December, screens cutting-edge, contemporary Irish movies which are regularly toasted on the international circuit but tend to remain largely unknown to Italian audiences.
