Rome’s Museums in Music
Museums in Music takes place on the night of Saturday 20 November in 47 cultural venues throughout Rome. Over 100 live musical performances are being staged, primarily in museums, but also in exhibition spaces, churches, universities, cultural academies and international institutions.
The initiative incorporates a range of musical genres such as classical, jazz, Latin American and blues, while the European Union is supporting Folk Music in MusEUms - Young musicians and Old Instruments - an initiative devoted to folk music played by young musicians.
Artists performing include Israeli singer Idan Raichel, Mexican classical guitarist Juan Carlos Laguna and Italian pianist Enrico Pieranunzi. Some of the festival's highlights will be a night of tango scheduled for the Galleria Alberto Sordi featuring quintet Buenos Aires Caf
