Limited traffic zone (ZTL) in centre extended one hour in the evenings.
Rome's ZTL, or limited traffic zone, in the historic centre will be closed to traffic for an additional hour in the evening from 7 December, remaining closed until 19.00 instead of 18.00.
As of 7 December the ZTL in the historic centre will be in force from 06.30 until 19.00, Monday to Friday, and from 14.00-19.00 on Saturdays, as well as on three Sundays: 8, 15 and 22 December.
The experimental new timetable will remain in effect until 6 January, however the intention is reportedly to retain the new hours, eventually extending the ZTL further until 20.00 between May and June, with the exception of Sundays and holidays.
