Hotel Eden wins prestigious Grand Prix award.
Rome's five-star Hotel Eden has won the Grand Prix Best Hotel in Europe, as part of the annual Villegiature Awards which recognise top hotels in Europe, Asia, Africa and Middle-East.
Located on Via Ludovisi between Via Veneto and the Spanish Steps, Hotel Eden reopened in April following a two-year refurbishment by its owners the Dorchester Collection.
The London-based luxury hotel group, which is controlled by the Brunei Investment Agency (BIA), acquired the landmark Rome hotel from Britain-based Starman Hotels in a 2013 deal worth an estimated €105 million. In business since 1889, Hotel Eden has hosted members of royalty, heads of state and Hollywood celebrities over the decades, and its prices range from €730 to €13,000 per night.
