Weekend closures affect 13 stations on Rome's Metro B line.
In addition to closing at the earlier hour of 21.00 each night until 9 December, half of the stations on Rome's Metro B will be completely closed for three weekends in October.
The closures affect 13 of the line's 26 stations, between Laurentina and Castro Pretorio, and are scheduled on 5-6, 12-13 and 26-27 October.
The stations will be closed to facilitate construction works connecting Rome's Metro C with the Metro B station at the Colosseum.
Tourists should note that the closures affect the Colosseo, Circo Massimo and central Termini stations.
Substitute buses will be available for the duration of the works which are to allow for the creation of a tunnel connecting the existing Colosseo station on the B line to the new Fori Imperiali station on the Metro C, whose opening is scheduled in 2023.
More early closing times are expected in 2020, from February until June, and during the summer of 2021.
