Roma Convention Center La Nuvola will open from 8-11 December.
The newly-inaugurated Roma Convention Center La Nuvola will be open to the public, free of charge, on 8, 9, 10 and 11 December, according to its managers Eur Spa.
The four-day opening, from 09.00-19.00, follows the 29 October inauguration of the giant, futuristic convention centre which was designed by prominent Rome architect Massimiliano and is located in Rome's EUR suburb.
From 28 November visitors will be able to book their visit via a specially-dedicated website, soon to be launched, allowing around 150 visitors per hour to visit the centre.
Since its revolutionary design was officially approved in 1998, the project has been dogged by delays and cost over-runs, not unusual in Rome when controversial buildings are concerned.
That EUR Spa has put the final figure for design and construction at €353 million, well over the tender estimate of €275 million or the €239 million recently announced by Fuksas.
