Rome's rose garden open until end June.
The Roseto Comunale di Roma will be open until 30 June. The extension to the period open for the public is thanks to the current mild climate in Rome which has not been too taxing on the 1.200 rose bushes planted there.
On show are the specimens that formed part of the 69th international competition for new rose varieties, held in May.
Free guided tours are available daily to the public (08.00-19.30), which includes information on the rose gardens history and characteristics. Bookings can be made by calling 065746810 or the citys call centre on 060606.
The entrance is in Via di Valle Murcia (Aventino) and you can reach it by catching bus lines 81, 628, 715 or metro line B Circo Massimo.
