The 12th Roma Seven International Rugby Sevens tournament will be held at Stadio URC on Via Flaminia 867 on Friday 14 June and Saturday 15 June.
The international tournament involves 16 of the world's best Rugby Seven teams, including both men and women's squads, as well over-35s teams in the 7th Vets competition.
There will be 450 players from five continents participating, all of whom will be competing to win the coveted Roma Seven Cup.
Countries involved include South Africa, France, Italy, Argentina, Poland and Switzerland, as well as a number of internationl sides comprising players from all over the world including the champion Roma Seven Invitation, the so-called "dream team" made up of players from New Zealand, South Africa, Australia and the US.
Also known as seven-a-side, Rugby Sevens is a variant of rugby union, with teams comprising seven players, instead of the usual 15, with shorter matches. The sport will make its Olympic debut in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
