Rome's Colosseum is open to visitors on Thursday and Saturday nights from 20.20 to midnight, until 6 October.
Now in its third year, "La Luna sul Colosseo" includes a visit to the amphitheatre's underground section and tunnels, and its internal arches are highlighted with a new lighting system.
The guided tours, lasting about an hour, are in
Italian and English and begin at the north gate on the Colle Oppio side. Last entry is at 22.45.
