Speed limit updates.
Italian minister for infrastructure and transport, Pietro Lunardi, has confirmed that it is now legally possible to drive at a maximum of 150 kms an hour, instead of the normal maximum 130 kms an hour, on certain stretches of the Italian autostrada network. This high speed will only be permitted if the road meets certain requirements and under specified conditions, such as good weather and low traffic density. To date the total distance of autostrada meeting the standard required is 175.7 kms in 14 different places.
