On Sat 14 Feb couples in Rome will be trying to break the world record in simultaneous kissing in Piazza Farnese. The current record was set in Chile, where in early Jan over 4,400 couples kissed at the same time. The St Valentines Day initiative is organised by the gay association Arcigay as part of the Un Pacs Avanti (Patto Civile di Solidariet) campaign for legal recognition for life partners, both gay and heterosexual, who choose not to get married (coppie di fatto).
