Uber Eats launches delivery service from Testaccio market in Rome.

Street food from Testaccio market can now be delivered direct to your door thanks to Uber Eats, the US-based online food ordering and delivery platform.14 of the Roman market's 16 street food stands have reportedly signed up to the deal, with the produce from each stand available to order via the Uber Eats app.

The street food on offer ranges from suppli to bagels and cannoli, with the stalls including Sano Burger, selling colourful vegan burgers and other specialties, Casa Manco, offering gourmet-style pizzeria, and Tbsp offering burgers, chips and pulled pork.

The street food is delivered by Uber Eats riders however for now the deliveries are only being made within a three-km radius of Testaccio market.

This is to ensure that the food arrives "hot and at speed", according to the marketing manager of Uber Eats Italia, Mario Bini, who added that the focus of the service is on "maintaining a high level of quality."
