Strike update 15 Dec.
The public transport strike scheduled for Friday 15 December has been cancelled by all the large trade unions. Some of the smaller trade unions are going ahead with the industrial action, however, so some disruption to Rome's bus, tram, metro and local train services is still possible.
Meanwhile, the staff of Alitalia are on 24-hour strike and most flights run by the company have been cancelled. Passengers are asked to check the status of their flight before attempting to travel at www.alitalia.com.
