Taxis on strike at arrivals areas of Rome's Fiumicino airport.
Taxi drivers are striking at the arrivals areas of Terminals 1, 2 and 3 at Rome's Fiumicino airport from 08.00 until 14.00 on 25 October.
Unions have called the strike action over issues including unregulated activity in the taxi sector, lack of checks on NCC chauffeur-driven vehicles, the presence of tourist coach connections, and the alleged failure of airport management to regulate taxi services.
The strike takes place as Fiumicino deals with extra air traffic diverted from the city's other airport, Ciampino, which is closed for maintenance until 29 October.
