Tiburtina station soon back to normal
From Monday 10 October, commuter trains on the Tivoli-Rome line (Fr2) will return to Tiburtina, where two new platforms are ready to be opened.
Since the mysterious fire which gutted part of the new station on 24 July, some ten thousand commuters a day have been forced to use the Prenestina and Termini stations while Tiburtina was being rebuilt.
The railway infrastructure arm RFI had originally said the new platforms would not be ready before 21 October. But the avalanche of complaints from passengers prompted Lazio
