Tightening up on seat belts.
Under a new law, number 150 of 13 March, which came into effect on 14 April, bus, taxi and lorry drivers must now wear safety belts when driving their vehicles. Bus passengers on long journeys and commuter buses will also have to wear safety belts if the bus is constructed after the introduction of the law. City buses and buses on city centre to suburban routes are exempt from the new law.
The law also imposes the necessity for special car seats for children who are less than a metre and a half tall, and children under three years old may only travel in cars with legally approved baby seats.
