Tourists in Rome continue to vandalise the Colosseum.
An American tourist has become the latest visitor to the Colosseum caught stealing a fragment of the monument as a "souvenir", according to local media reports.
The man, aged 36, was detained by police after breaking off a piece of brick from an interior wall of the ancient amphitheatre.
Over the last two years, more than 40 tourists have been reported to the police for either vandalising or stealing chunks of the Colosseum which has welcomed a record 7.4 million visitors in 2018.
