Traffic-free Sunday.
Sunday 24 September will be a traffic-free day in Rome, city authorities have announced. All cars and motorcycles will be banned from the historic centre, Trastevere, Via dei Fori Imperiali, Via Cola di Rienzo and Via Appia Antica as well as from streets and squares in sixteen of the capitals municipi from 10.0018.00. There will be some diversions on bus routes, but otherwise public transport and emergency vehicles will not be affected by the traffic ban.
